Syncing iCal calendars between multiple Macs, or across multiple users on the same Mac, and between an iPod and Mac got easier now with the iSynCal 6.0, an application released by Fabrizio La Rosa. So, there is no need for a mac account for iCal syncing.

Requirements for iSyncCal include Mac OS Xv10.3 or higher and iCal v1.5 or higher.New features of iSynCal include full compatibility with Mac OS x v10.5 “Leopard”. iSynCal can sync Calenders between Mac versions 10.4 or 10.5 with another running 10.3 or 10.2 versions. Calender deletions can also be synchronized with iSynCal. Many other code changes and optimizations have also been implemented.

iTunes store surpasses Walmart to take Apple to the number one position in music retail in the US, based on the results from the latest Music –Watch survey from the NPD group, This news was certainly not a bolt from the blue as ArsTechnica’s earlier report had shown that iTunes store had about a 19 percent market share of all the US based retail music sales in January as compared to the 15 percent share of the music retail leader Walmart.

For the number crunchers and statistics lovers, the record for Apple iTunes is : over 50 million customers, over 6 million songs in the catalogue and over 4 billion songs sold.Well, that is what we call as an impressive record!

Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes said in the statement “We launched iTunes less than five years ago, and it has now become the number one music retailer in the world,” “We are thrilled, and would like to thank all of our customers for helping us reach this incredible milestone.”

We are thrilled too!

David Beckham is a lucky man. He was presented by his teammates a personalised Ipod touch, 32 GB, made in Gold for his hundredth England cap. Oh! That is interesting!! Well not really the hundredth cap but the golden ipod. The ipod has his name and the England emblem engraved on the back (see picture) and is valued close to 600 pounds. Now Beckham can listen to the ‘golden’ songs of his beloved wife Victoria, in a truly golden style!

And … anybody interested in giving memorable Valentine ’s day gift can think of such jewel-like ipods now!

Now here’s something all you 1st and 2nd generation ipod owners got to know about.

You see, this is something you gotta keep with you. And I don’t know why Apple didn’t do this earlier.

You see, just recently, Apple has released iPod Reset Utility 1.0.3 for Mac OS X and Windows. Now this is pretty cool. You see, this utility can be used to reset 1st and 2nd generation iPod shuffles to their initial, factory condition.

Now, whatever your reason is, you can finally do it.

You see, with this utility, the restore process completely erases all music and data on your iPod, and installs current iPod software on it. But remember. This is only useful for 1st and 2nd generation Ipods. So if you got a later model, this utility won’t support it.

I had earlier mentioned about a Nike + Ipod kit in one of my blogs.Now apple has decided to make this into a full fledged fitness system.

The first part of this program would poll the user on their fitness goals, desired activity level (moderate, advanced), fitness interests (such as jogging, pilates, and swimming), fitness goals (lose weight, firm and tone, and get back into shape), weight goals, desired workout schedule, and so forth.

 Now based on this the user would be provided a plan for eg. a user interested in weight training would be provided a work out schedule broken down into warmup cardio exercises and a weight training session comprised of sets, reps and weight levels.

They can also track their progress through their pod and interaction with their instructors has also been made possible.

Memorex recently introduced its all new series of iWake clocks for iPods.The iWake features a dock connector that’s compatible with most iPods. You rest your iPod in the cradle that is available on the top , and you can wake up to your favorite songs, or even to music from AM/FM radio. The iWake encloses a backlit white LCD display, snooze function and wireless remote control. It also has SRS sound enhancement built into it.

This was first introduced in Black and White but after seeing the tremendous response the product has been designed in several colors including blue, purple and red metallic finishes.

The right competetion for iPod Touch arrived in the markets of late.The Telescast M26 PMP as it is called has a 2.6-inch WQVGA. The 400 by 200 Touchscreen is awesome and this supports RMVB, RM, FLV, AVI video codecs, as well as the standard music file formats.

The iPod touch style has been better utilised here and compels us to prefer this to Touch.The M26 also has a TV output so you can enjoy your movies on the big screen, and it will be available in either mono or poly colors and both look equally good.

Though this may take to reach the masses , I would consider this as a better choice than Apple’s Touch.
